Survivor @ Changi, Innova orientation camp

Went to school on the 26th with camping bags etc.
Assembly, short briefing, then board the bus to MOE changi coast something.

1st Day
Sea activity, kayaking. From changi coast to bedok jetty, thats damn far. Everyone was paired up, so everyone set off on 2 seater kayaks. 3 mins of paddling and my kayak capsized, hehe i paddled too hard, first time paddling, then kinda excited. Then had to flip the kayak and etc. That was rather time consuming and so me and my partner were put a short distance between the others.

Then suddenly an ODAC(Outdoor Activities Club) member paddled up to us and told us to head back and do a swap with another kayak pair, who both were overweight, 1 of them obese. They already capsized 4 times over a timeframe of like 5 mins? Tsk.

I was seated in the front and my friend was at the back at that time, so my friend went over to take the front of their kayak and the obese guy take the back of my kayak. So we paddled off to rejoin the others, and after 2 mins of paddling, my kayak capsized. Speedboat came to pick ups up. The obese guy decided not to trouble me and wanted to go back to shore, so I stayed on the speed boat, to take the place of anyone else who wished to go back to shore.

After a while of speeding around to find people that needed help, the speedboat needed to go on ahead and do some stuff, so I got transferred to a motor boat. :) Motorboat went ahead to 3 kayaks, 2 ODACs with single seat kayaks and 1 double seat kayak. Watched the double seat kayak struggle to keep straight, the 2 girls were stubborn and didnt want to pair up as suggested "1 boy, 1 girl". They kept going to the left or the right, never straight.

5 mins of watching them and an ODAC member felt giddy, so she went on the motorboat, woohoo, they let me get on the single seat kayak. Then i was told to paddle towards the others who were already nearing Bedok jetty, and I was like only 1/4 of the journey and I needed to catch up with ppl who were at 5/6 of the journey. Then I paddled towards them alone, no motorboat near me, even though they said "should not be alone on the seas, dangerous." Maybe they see me paddle well. :)

Reached the others when they were bringing kayaks to shore, and i was like 30m away from them. Ah, I wonder how did I catch up with them. I must have good speed :D

I think I managed to get the most out of the activity when compared to everyone, I experienced a double seat kayak, even though it was only for around 10 mins. Sat on a speedboat, a motorboat, and got a single seat kayak. Then paddled alone without supervision for the whole stretch :)

Then had to paddle back to changi coast woohoo, keep on banging into other ppl's kayaks.
YAY muscle aching

Day 2

Orienteering @ Ubin

Went to pulau ubin for my first time, heh. The boat ride was nice.

Then had some activities which made us run about the island just to find checkpoints and take photographs of the required poses to fufill the checkpoint. Then it was hot, tiring and maybe a bit miserable but overall it was rather nice.

Took the boat back to forgot where. Then bus from forgot where to changi. =)

Went back and had a small break, then had dragon boating activities, woohoo so much more fun than kayaking, and less tiring. Weee, won the dragon boat race between 3 classes, my class came in first place. YAY muscle aching even more

Then we had the improvised rafting activity and etc, helped a bit on carrying and rope tying, nothing much, most of the work was done by the rest of the class, can't blame me, 21 ppl working on 1 raft is a really large number. Anyway too many people working on the raft already, better not block the way and help when they need it. :)

Day 3

Packed and went home, end of story. Im lazy to list the unimportant events that happened. Pictures will do.

And heres some other random pics

Bite me : )

"Oh look, a small ego boy."

Innova

Innova. Posted to a rather nice class.

Orientation is crap, Teachers seem unfriendly and want to kill u on sight, but maybe I dunno them enough.
School has rather nice, "scenery".

Still wish there were more sits in the canteen, ah well. I do love the sits on the outskirts of the canteen though :)

I dunno what else to blog, other than I require a bit of help with my PW.

MI PAE class chalet

Went to my class chalet at downtown east pasir ris from the 12th to 14th.

I cant remember much so im gonna make it brief.

First day
Had treasure hunt game thingy, finding orange ping pong balls with pictures of its surroundings as a clue. Last 3 groups out of 5 get waterbombed as a forfeit. Yay, it was fun, untill i discovered i was the last group. -_-
Went to the arcade for a while after that, watched a pri sch kid pwn a sec sch kid at 1 of those drum games or something. Pri sch kid playing advanced at speed 4, Sec sch kid playing beginner at 1. PWNED
Ate lunch with eddie , wei jie and elliot. Later on we discovered the others ate at sakae sushi and each of them paid $20. Good thing didnt follow them or I would have totally ran out of money xD. Then we went over to the maze in pasir ris park, then to the chalet and fooled around and conquered the bed, lol. Then the class made a trip to red house, that supposedly haunted one, then we made it to the gate, then the girls didnt wanna go in, especially Hui Zhen, the one who whined the most. I wanted to go in >.< In the end good thing we didnt, coz real life experience from nicholas wong is damn scary. Chinese inscriptions appeared on that poor bastard's shirt after he came out of the house.
9 Guys slept in the room which the girls were supposed to have for the night. Girls came back after an hour and woke us up wanting to sleep in the room, but I guess they didnt mind much, coz in the end they went over to another chalet which was booked by another classmate. Omg something kept rubbing on my leg, hard to sleep for a while =/ HEHE. Guys talk till 5am then the guys all KO-ed.

Second day
Woke up at 8, ran down to tpjc to check appeal, meet pangyao, attempt to appeal again, failed. Went back to the chalet at 11, just nice they were up and awake and ready for lunch, then had lunch with them. Then the class went to the chalet again and played, then went over to the pool outlet and played too.
One by one the guys went back chalet then I went back after 1 game, then I realised i forgot to bring the multi plug or whatever its called for my ps2. doh. so paiseh
Shortly after helped some guys with the bbq food and etc, then brought them back to the chalet. Eddie just nice wanted to go to century square and buy something, so i decided to follow him then make a trip back home to grab the plug.
Met at the mrt an hr later, and went back to chalet. Started drizzling half way back. Noo, we missed the starting of the fire. Ah well, then we had bbq food and etc. Said bye for maybe the last time to some ppl.
Then went out to walk around, then went to the maze again, but with the girls instead. Then went back to the chalet to find some of the guys playing my ps2. Then get ready to sleep and etc. 4 ppl sharing my sleeping bag, oh well, shld have rolled over.

3rd day, nothing much. Wake up, tv, talk talk, Group photo, etc with ppl, said byes. Had lunch at white sands? Cant remember xD. And there, Im back home and posting.

I knew i shld have did it, see la appeal to tpjc fail. Now im in innova, hopefully that bookshop aunty wont mess up my order again. Now need to go back and change 1 shirt, 1 long pants, 1 pe pants. -_-

I SHOULD HAVE ROLLED OVEEEEER and um, toes pwn.

Posting & etc

I got posted to innova JC, not a bad school but the orientation is seriously unenjoyable. 1/2 day of orientation and they plan to start lessons. AT least the water games were a bit enjoyable. A bit only, im not lying, it was on the verge of suck.

A Tribute to a late blogger,
The Orientation Water Bomb Game Codecheeky's Three Commandments of Junior College (JC) Orientation Water Bomb Games for guys:
1. Thou shall not waste your water bombs on your fellow brothers.
2. Thou shall conspire with your fellow brothers to wet as many chicks as possible.
3. Thine pursuit shall be relentless until objective (2) is met.

Innova does not have many chicks anyway -_-, let alone my Orientation Group.

Currently im appealing to tpjc, wondering how will it go. 13th march will be the release of the appeal results, pray for me to be successful please =D.

Then today went back to east view secondary school to collect my leaving cert. Yay? SOMEONE can still insist on telling me they not ready to release it and will only release it next week, tan xin yi.

My leaving remark from the school.

A sincere and modest pupil. Jun Qiang is well liked by his peers and teachers alike. A reliable and helpful boy, Jun Qiang readily renders help to his friends. He shows competence and flair in his science subjects. He has critical thinking skills and ability to pursue his interest in this area. He has clear goals and is commited at achieving them.

Well, what can I say? 'm flattered.

Later on went to TPjc's CCA fair and stuff, found quite some old classmates, 3 from my PAE class in MI, xu kang, shi hao and jie ying. 3 from my pri school, Jian wei, kenny, chung ying. Yea, quite alot of from my secondary school too, rebecca, nicholas, mark, jasmine , serena, shelly and prolly about 4 more trying to appeal in too.

Ah well. the CCA fair didnt have much stuff to look at, kinda boring, though there were quite a few interesting ones. I know the BEST CCA maths and science club or something, yes seriously it rocks your world, because close to no one visited their booth. lol?
On a serious tone, I think I might join the shooting club if I make it there, interesting bunch of seniors and the CCA interests me.

Trade offs.

The world could use less trade offs.

Case1
Up good, down bad.
Up bad, down good.
Case2
Outside good, inside bad.
Outside sucks, inside good.
Case3
Everything good, but cannot be obtained.

Most common trade off.
Time, use it to enjoy yourself or improve yourself, rarely you get to do both.
Even if you get to do both, you trade something else for it, energy, its tiresome.

My school subjects usually been trade offs.
Eg. PSLE
Spent too much time on chinese and neglecting maths because I was thinking "Ah, maths is simple."
Result? A for chinese, C for maths =(

Trade offs. Why am I haunted by case 1 and 3 always.

Oh and I nearly forgot, Harith pwnzors you all. =)

If you didn't understand this post, then you probably have no idea what/who am I referring to. =)

Monday and tuesday

Pon schoooooool, im free on the 5th and 6th of march.

*hint hint*
